Writing for Digital Media

Writing for Digital Media (IMED 1359) is offered as part of the Multimedia and Web Publishing degree and certificate programs in the Digital Communication Department of Houston Community College Southwest. Here you will learn a lot about writing copy that will work well in convergent media. This is not a bare-bones grammar review. This course will help you develop sound writing skills, including interviewing sources, searching Internet resources, and writing style.

Online Tutoring

In addition to on-site tutoring, Houston Community College System offers free online tutoring to students in almost any discipline. Check it out at the link below.

Be advised that in order to use HCC's Online Tutoring, you first must register with www.hccs.askonline.net. To do that you must use your HCC student e-mail account rather than your personal account from other providers. To activate HCC e-mail, go to the HCC Home Page, click on "Current Students." Under the heading "Student Support," click on "Webmail" and follow the directions. With that e-mail address, registering for online tutoring is easy.

If you have a user name and password from a previous semester, you may continue to use that account. If you have forgotten your user name, password or both send your full name to deborah.hardwick@hccs.edu.
